Saturday, August 20, 2016 – Noon to 4pm – Humboldt Park, Chicago, IL.
ChicagoPokemonGo.com, in conjunction with FevGames and The Silph Road is proud to announce the inaugural Pokemon Go Third Saturday event in Chicago!
ChicagoPokemonGo.com is the team behind the successful coordination of past events such as the Millennium Park meetup on July 17, the Lincoln Park Zoo meetup on July 23, and the Shedd Aquarium meetup on July 30. FevGames (FevGames.net) is the top blog covering real-world gaming and Ingress First Saturday events (Niantic’s first AR game). The Silph Road (reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad) is a grassroots network of Pokémon GO trainers, focused on connecting the community around the world.
Due to our success at previous large-scale Pokemon Go meetups, FevGames has selected Chicago as one of the pilot cities to participate in this event, along with cities across the US, Canada, and Australia. These events are designed with social interaction, friendly gameplay, and leveling up in mind.
Trainer information will be tracked in the following categories:
This information will be used to compare Chicago to the other competing cities to see where the best trainers in the world reside!
There is NO cost associated with this event! Trainers should arrive at the Boat House Cafe in Humboldt Park at or before noon to register and record their starting stats. After a brief explanation of the event, trainers are free to roam the Humboldt Park area for at least 2 hours. In addition to the individual stat tracking (and prizes), there WILL be a Gym Scrimmage toward the end of the event, where the top team will be crowned as winners!
More details to come as the event comes closer. We hope to see you then, trainers!
